Mediterranean Pesto

Masseria Mirogallo's estate-made Mediterranean Pesto is a simple, classic combination of four ingredients: basil, sun-dried tomatoes, Italian extra virgin olive oil and salt.

Unlike Ligurian Pesto alla Genovese and Sicilian Pesto alla Trapanese, Masseria Mirogallo's Mediterranean Pesto is not made with any cheese or nuts, allowing the estate-grown produce to take center stage. The pesto is deep and nuanced from the oil-cured tomatoes with a bright herbaceous flavor from the basil and just the right amount of salt. 

Masseria Mirogallo's Mediterranean Pesto is beautiful tossed with pasta, but we love taking it beyond the pasta bowl. Spread on sandwiches, combine equal parts pesto and extra virgin olive oil for a quick marinade or add a spoonful to a simple red wine vinaigrette and drizzle over grilled vegetables (try it on top of slices of eggplant and summer squash).
