Classic Pandoro

Pandoro (pan d'oro) is a traditional Christmas and New Year's Eve Italian sweet yeast bread. Typically from Verona, this "golden bread" has been served in Venetian palaces since the 17^th Century and enjoyed at the end of the meal with sparkling wine.

Serve topped with a warm custard crème, or cut a hole in the bottom, remove part of the interior and fill with vanilla gelato or Chantilly crème.
