The most typical of Ligurian shapes, the name trofie is derived from a Greek word meaning "nourishment."

Traditionally served with pesto, little cubes of potatoes, and string beans cut the same length of the pasta. Wonderful served cold or in soups.

Cooking Time: 12-14 minutes.
