The quintessential finishing oil, Frescobaldi Laudemio Extra Virgin Olive Oil should be the centerpiece of your dinner table, for enjoyment mostly as a condiment. Pour it over a creamy bowl of cannellini beans, steamed dark green or Romanesco broccoli, puntarelle, or freshly sliced tomatoes. Be sure to try it our favorite way: poured with a heavy hand over a hot-off-the-grill steak.

An emerald-green Tuscan extra virgin olive oil with a sophisticated nuance of bitter and spicy notes. Clean, balanced and beautiful, it it grassy and robust with a very distinct artichoke aroma and flavor.

Rolando raves: "Only at the dinner table, and only as a condiment, the Frescobladi’s Laudemio is what I consider my “Tuscan Ketchup” or “Tuscan Worcestershire Sauce”—over grilled stakes, over beans, over anything that screams Tuscany."

The Marchesi de’ Frescobaldi lead the creation of the Laudemio Consortium in 1989 after the devastating frost that killed most of Central Tuscany's olive orchards. The Laudemio consortium set out to find new ways to improve olive growing in the area as well as setting a new code of governing laws that are very similar to those set forth for wine-making. Applying to olives their experience gained through centuries of grape growing, the Frescobaldi family helped develop a new level of extra virgin olive oil production by emphasizing the concept of terroir, linking the olive’s typicity and quality to the uniqueness of its environment.

Region: Ruffina, Tuscany

Olive cultivars: Frantoio, Moraiolo and Leccino
